Every detail of this vermilion plum vase whispers timeless elegance. Inspired by the Qing dynasty youlihong tradition, this royal red hand-painted vase carries the auspicious motif of blossoming plum branches—known as Mei Bao Chun Xi, symbolizing joy, renewal, and prosperity.
Crafted in our own kilns at 1300°F high firing, this piece features hand-drawn underglaze painting with subtle crackle effects, each unique with natural variations from the firing process. Unlike mass-produced ceramics, this vase bears the richness of hand-painted lines and the depth of true vermilion glaze—a rare shade that lies between red and ebony tones, long cherished in Chinese art.
